The Paqos invite you to a day workshop in which they will share much
information about “Chakana”
The Inca cross or chakana is a strong symbol of the ancient cultures of
the andes and is considered the most complete holy, geometric design
of the Incas. This symbol is often found in sacred temples and holy
centers like Machupicchu, Ollantaytambo, Pisaq.
Traditionally the Chakana represents the constellation of the southern
cross which is to be seen only in the south hemisphere. According to
the opinion of the Andean people this was and is the centre of the
universe.
The Chakana, in short term means bridges for consciousness.
The Chakana, was venerated from immemorial times with rituals, by
its fractal metric character, which allows it to interact in a reciprocal
way, the Andean man with the cosmos. The principle of the fractal that
applies it to all its activities, which allowed it to evolve in a
sustainable and long-term way up to reach the high energetic level of
live.
The Cruz del Sur, Cruz Andina or simply Chakana, undoubtedly forms a
multidimensional cycle of integral planning.
The deep devotion from our ancestors to the Chakana, remains in the
current context, with some variants for religious syncretism, which
allows us to strengthen and revitalize our identity.
